Today I’m joining Taryn at Wooly Moss Roots for Gratitude Sunday.
So, honestly, this week has been a little challenging. Lincoln has been awake the majority of the night, for the last 5 nights in a row. Not crying, not fussing, just talking up a storm! All. Night. Long. We still use a baby monitor with him since he’s still in his crib, so we hear every little peep. Needless to say, Dustin, Lincoln and I have been a bit sleep deprived this week. Don’t know what this is; could be teething, could be developmental… who knows. I’m just hoping it turns a corner soon so we can all get some sleep! I just feel weird about turning the baby monitor off. How long did you use a baby monitor for with your child/ren?Anyways, here are my gratitudes for this week… a much needed thought process for a grumpy mama.
- Going to the Bend Fall Festival today with my little family and watching Lucy eat her first caramel apple.
-Lincoln’s cute blossoming vocabulary. If you ask him where something is, like his horse, he’ll say “There she is horse!” It’s “there she is ______” no matter what you’re talking about. I love the gender assignment.
-The weather is getting chillier and I am loving wearing cozy clothes again!
-Speaking of clothes, good finds at the thrift store this week.
There is so much satisfaction in getting an article of clothing for a fraction of what it would cost new!
-Dustin surprising Lucy, Lincoln and I by bringing one of our barred rock chickens into the house for petting, tucked under his arm.
-My angora bunny Hurley fully cooperating for his shearing this time, and enjoying the attention. I have 3 angoras, I shear them every 90 days for fiber. 1 bun down, 2 to go!
-Pulling out the fall decorations and putting them up. I just got this garland in the mail yesterday from a seller on etsy, I adore it! So simple and pretty! It makes me happy.
-Getting out Lucy and Lincoln’s fall books from storage. They get so excited when I get the seasonal books out. In November is one of our favorites!
-Good books for mama, too. I just finished this one, it’s so bittersweet to finish a good series.
What are you grateful for this week?

that garland is awesome. i love fall.
i hope you are able to get some sleep soon, all of you.
Obviously I don’t know you but I will say that eventually we had to turn off the baby monitor on our then 2 year old. She was keeping us up all night but she wasn’t happy about it. So we figured she would be alright and she was! That first night of sleep without hearing her yell through the monitor was pure bliss! Good luck!
Amanda,
Wonderful list of good things.
I love that picture of colorful carrots.
Hope you all get more sleep soon!
Love, Taryn
Yikes! And you had time to read, LOL!
