There’s just something about *home*, isn’t there? It really is true, be it ever so humble, there’s no place like it.  I’m reminded of this every time we travel. More so since we’ve had kids, I think.

We just got back from a quick overnight trip to Portland. We absolutely love visiting Portland, but it is a joy to come back to our sleepy little town and cozy house.

I must say, the fall colors were AMAZING. I was so happy that we got to take a quick trip over there at the peak of autumn!

There was coffee sipping at Peet’s, a bit of shopping for clothes, a bit of yarn shopping, lots & lots of walking, tons of autumn tree ogling…

But I’ll tell ya what, tomorrow I’m not taking off my slippers or leaving the house all day! :)
Lucy agrees, she is one tired girl after trekking all over Portland!

    1. Glad you had fun. I totally agree, there IS no place like home!

    2. Yes, home. :) I know just what you mean. :)

    3. The wedding was nice, and it was a good thing you guys stayed all night in Portland. I bet the kids would have had a hard time in their car seats for that long. Made for a nice day of shopping the next day.
